St Bartholomew’s is a UK top ten hospital
A global survey of health care experts has named St Bartholomew’s as one of the leading hospitals in the world and in the top ten in the United Kingdom.
Published by American news magazine Newsweek, ‘The world's best hospitals 2021’ ranks the leading hospitals in 21 countries, based on recommendations from clinicians, hospital managers and administrators.
Newsweek partnered with global market research and consumer data firm Statista Inc. to run the survey.
St Bartholomew’s was placed in the top 200 globally and number seven in the United Kingdom, up five places from last year.
The Royal London Hospital, which is also part of Barts Health NHS Trust, was 21st in the list.
Commenting on the announcement, St Bartholomew’s Hospital chief executive Professor Charles Knight said: “To make the top ten is a fantastic achievement and confirmation of the incredible effort our teams put in every day to provide world-class care for our patients.
“Our aim now is to reach number one spot by 2023 – our 900th birthday!”
